These home facial remedies are not time-consuming, so it’s worth it to try them out. Here are some very useful, tried-and-tested DIY face masks that will leave your skin feeling younger and glowing.
1. Cucumber and Yogurt Mask
Yogurt is one of those ingredients that help cleanse the skin; it’s also great for soothing sunburns & exfoliation. The cucumber help fade dark circles and improve your complexion, while simultaneously tightening your pores.
To prepare this mask, peel one small cucumber. Chop it up and add three to four tablespoons of yogurt. Blend together.
2. Cucumber, Honey and Aloe Vera Mask
Honey is a natural antibacterial product that helps treat acne. Aloe Vera and honey both have anti-aging ingredients that can leave your skin looking younger than ever. This mask will help improve the complexion and texture of your skin.
To prepare the mask, use Aloe Vera gel, honey and half of a chopped, peeled cucumber. Blend all the ingredients together and apply to a clean face.
3. Milk & Avocado Mask
Avocado help moisturize your skin. It contains an insane amount of vitamin E, which helps with anti-aging. Avocado is also great for healing skin and curing acne. Milk helps the skin grow and glow. It is a natural cleanser, and will clean deep within your pores.
Mash a ripe avocado with milk and apply it on a clean, dry face. With your fingertips, massage your face and leave the mask to dry. Wash your face with lukewarm water.
4. Oatmeal, Milk and Lemon Mask
This is an amazing quick remedy for clean, glowing skin. Oatmeal helps exfoliate the skin to make it smooth. Lemon helps improve complexion. Milk helps reduce the size of your pores.
This mask is more on the complicated side (because it involves making some oatmeal) but its still pretty simple. Add oatmeal to boiling water. Eyeball the amount of oatmeal you will need to cover your whole face. Once the oatmeal is cooked, make sure it has the consistency of a thick paste. Let it cool and then add a teaspoon of lemon juice. Mix it and apply it to your face. Let it dry and with the help of a warm towel, massage your skin and wash off with water.
5. Aloe Vera and Lemon Mask
This mask is really beneficial for acne-prone skin. Aloe Vera and lemon will help reduce acne because because they both have anti-bacterial properties. This mask also helps lighten up blemishes an acne scars leaving your skin looking soft & glowing.
6. Banana Facial Mask
Mash a banana and apply it to your face. Massage with your fingers lightly and let it rest on your skin for five minutes. Wash with cold water. This will leave your skin feeling fresh and looking smooth.
7. Banana, Honey & Lemon Mask
This face mask has the magic of reducing acne scars and improving discolored skin. It helps lighten dark circles under your eyes and improve your complexion. Mash a banana and mix it with honey and lemon juice. Apply to face.
8. Potato and Fuller Earth Face Mask
Cut a potato in two and peel one half. Press it with a spoon so that the juice from the raw potato comes out. Add fuller earth and mix it to make a paste. Apply to your skin and let it dry. Wash it off with warm water. This mask is best for oily skin; it will extract excess grease and dirt from your pores. It will also help reduce dark spots.
9. Egg Yolk and Olive Oil Mask
This face mask is best if you have dry skin because olive oil has great moisturizing power by bringing back the softness to your skin. The egg yolk nourishes and heals. Mix one egg yolk with half a teaspoon of olive oil. Apply to your face. Let it dry for 7 to 10 minutes, and wash with cold water.
10. Orange Peel Mask
Save some of your orange peels. Wash the peels and place them in the sun until they are completely dy. You may have to wait for a day or two. Crush these dried orange peels into powder.
Add yogurt and your orange peel powder. Apply this mixture to your face and say goodbye to acne and dull skin.
