Everyone deserves to be pampered sometimes, but it can be difficult to find gifts and experiences that’ll do the trick. So, if you’re having difficulties, here are some ideas on how to spoil the men in your life, whether it’s your boyfriend, husband, brother, dad or friend.
1. Hire a barber to give him a professional shave
Men hate shaving just as much as women do, and even when they grow their beards out they still hate how hot and itchy their faces feel. Even men need pampering sometimes, treat him to the male equivalent of a facial: a professional shave or beard trim. Not only will the fancy creams and beard oils make his face feel amazing, but it will also make him feel like a total boss.
2. Get him a subscription box.
Girls, back us up here: receiving a personalized gift in the mail every month is, like, the best thing ever. Nowadays, subscriptions boxes exist for everything: makeup, clothes, food, alcohol, cologne, candy, and even socks. I can guarantee that there is a subscription box out there that will be perfect for your man. It is, literally, the gift that keeps on giving.
3. Take a lesson together.
There’s a ton of great opportunities to do something here that he’ll love. For example, if you’ve got an outdoorsy man, perhaps try a rock climbing class. If your man loves his Saturday nights, treat him to an hour-long class going over the basics of bartending. If he’s creative, perhaps a painting class would be good, too. There’s always interesting opportunities like this around in the nearest city, so be sure to do some research to find a class that he’ll love.
4. Get him fitted for a custom made suit
Yes, this one can be pretty expensive, but do not underestimate how much men love their suits. Getting custom-fit by a tailor is already pretty cool, and some places like Men’s Warehouse even allow customers to have their suits re-fitted later on for no additional charge, so you really are getting your money’s worth.
5. Create your own adventure
For the men who thrive on adrenaline, try spotting him for something like hang gliding, bungee jumping, cliff diving, or parachuting. Even if you aren’t down for these activities, he’d still love someone to go with him for support.
6. Accessories
Men love to accessorize, too. Try getting him a nice wallet, watch, tie clip, leather bag, or anything else that will make him look as fly as he feels. A good fall-back is anything that goes with a suit, like a belt, cuff links or tie. He may not be willing to buy these things himself, which is where you come in.

7. Sports/concert tickets
You can’t go wrong with tickets to your man’s favorite sports team or musician. Instead of giving him something material, give him an experience of a lifetime! There is something inexplicably wonderful about hearing your favorite music played live or seeing your home team get a huge win from the stands, and your guy will surely be happy to experience that feeling.
8. Game night
Games, games, games! Make him feel like a kid again by bring him to an arcade, a go-carting circuit, a mini-golf place, or some batting cages. The unadulterated fun that derives from these simple activities is priceless, and he’ll love getting physical and competitive.
9. Get local
Take a look at the surrounding cities’ event calendars and pick a few! Who knows, you may be surprised by the awesome festivals, exhibits, or fundraisers going on around you. Some good examples of this might be running a color 5K together, attending a local musician’s performance, going to a poetry slam, or checking out a new art exhibit. So many cool opportunities exist in our very own backyards — don’t let them slip by.
