Your New 5-Minute Makeup Routine
We’ve all had those mornings where we hit the snooze button one too many times, and before you know it, you’re supposed to leave the house in 10 minutes. But you can’t leave the house without your face on right?! No fear, we have the tips and tricks you need to achieve a perfectly put together makeup look in no time.
Base
Total time = 1 minute
Whether you’re a full coverage foundation kind of girl, or a tinted moisturizer type, it doesn’t matter as long as you have your base. Sure, beauty blenders and foundation brushes are both good tools, but I’ve always found that the most effective and efficient way to apply your base is with your hands. The heat from your fingers will melt the make up into your skin for a more even and natural look.
Conceal
Total time = 30 seconds
Once your foundation is evenly applied, it’s time to reach for your concealer (very important step!). In my opinion, concealers with a wand are the most effective. They are easy to use and get the job done quickly. Cover up any red spots or dark circles under your eyes, and then gently tap the makeup product into the skin. Easy as pie!
Brows
Total time = 1 minute
Studies say that eyebrows are your most important facial feature, and we couldn’t agree more. They completely shape the face, and give ample structure. Now you don’t have to go crazy with shaping your brows, but running a pencil through them to fill in the empty spaces and give a little more definition will do you so much wonder…trust us!
Eyes
Total time = 1 minute
Natural eyes are always a good idea, especially when you don’t have much time on your hands. Simply sweep some bronzer in the crease of your eyes for some definition, and then go in with a little brown or black eyeliner along your top and bottom lash line. To make it look more natural, take your finger and smudge the liner a bit. Finally, coat your lashes with mascara and you are good to go.
Blush & Bronze
Total time = 1 minute
Taking a little extra time to swipe some blush across your face can make the biggest difference; it will give you a natural flush and liven up your look. While bronzing is optional in a time crunch, it’s never a bad idea to be tan and glowy…right?! If you’re feeling really daring, you could even take a couple seconds to contour your cheekbones and jawline for some definition.
Lips
Total time = 30 seconds
Don’t worry this is the last step. If you really want to give yourself the perfect pout, you can put on a little lipstick and press it in with your fingers for a natural pop of color. If you’re not a lipstick girl, simply swipe on your favorite chapstick and call it a day.
Voila! You still have 5 minutes left to down you’re croissant and coffee. ♥
