We strive to be a natural hair salon, by selecting some of the industry?s finest eco-friendly styling products and tools…HistoryEstablished in 2002.Susan started “nurture” in the spring of 2002. She was on her own, working alone, in a 350 square foot shop. Her client list grew to nearly 480 people. She often worked seven days a week until very late in the evening to keep up with the demand for her hair styling services. For many professional business owners, that would have been enough, but not for Susan. She decided to undertake a major expansion.
The expansion carried “nurture” into building space that stretched from its original entrance at 127 L and wrapped around the northwest corner of East Sixth. The floor space increase was almost fivefold – to roughly 1,500 square feet. After seven months of old-fashioned hard work, the expanded “nurture” opened in November of last year. Something worked – Susan’s client mailing list has grown to more than 2,000.Meet the Business Owner
