What's with the 'Primary' and 'Secondary' Interests quiz?

On the registration window, you may have noticed a couple of unusual fields, called the Primary Interest and the Secondary Interest fields. They’re not required, but are used to customize the results of searches you do on our site.

When you  search for listings or stories on our site, and have one or both of these fields filled-in, our site automatically customizes your search results to prioritize these interests.

For example, if you entered ‘hiking trails’ as your Primary Interest, the search results you get will list service professionals with the same interests at the top of the results page. If you decide to avail of the services of one of these ‘top-listed’ professionals, the small talk between you and the service professional becomes more enjoyable and interesting while the service is being rendered.

My Business is Listed. How can I claim it?

If you see a service listing that belongs to you and want to claim it, you can take the following steps to gain ownership of the listing:

  1. Log in to your Yougoz.com account.
  2. Visit the listing’s page.
  3. Look for the “Claim this listing” link just under the listing’s title, and click on it.

Note: If you don’t find the link as indicated in the screenshot above, it means that someone else has claimed it and passed our verification process. If you’re the registered owner of the service business, please get in touch with us via the webform below so we can initiate our Listing Dispute process on your behalf.







Do I need to pay any fees for my business listing?

No fees need to be paid in order for you to create your listing.

What forms of payment can I use to pay for services?

Buy now with PayPal

We currently accept major credit cards and Paypal® for payments.

We’ve got other online payment methods in the pipeline, but have no definite time-frames for their general availability.

FAQ for Enthusiasts

How do I book a service?

By way of example, let’s take a look at a fictional listing called “Fitness Experts”. Here’s the page:

If a listing has bookable services, they should show up on the lower-right side of the listing page.

To book a service, you need to do the following:

  1. Enter the number of hours you will be availing of the service.
  2. Select the scope of the services. Some professionals offer multiple options, which you can select from by opening the Type dropdown box. If you want to avail of a weight trainer’s services while you do your work-out, then you’d click on “Weight Trainer”.
  3. Select a day in the calendar by clicking on the date.
  4. Next, select the starting time you want to use the gym. Any hours that have been booked already will be marked off and unclickable.
  5. Once you’re one with that, the cost of the booking based on your selections will show up below the calendar.
  6. If you’re satisfied with all your choices, click on the “Book now” button

Once you’ve done that, a message pops up at the bottom of your screen, like so:faq view cart

You now have a booking ready for checkout and payment. If you don’t have any more services to book, you can go right ahead and click on the View cart button and proceed to the Checkout page from there.

How can I cancel a booked service?

By default, a booked service can be cancelled until 1 hour before the service is to be rendered.

To see if you can cancel your booking, simply go to your account dashboard and click on the My Bookings tab. You should see a Cancel button to the right of the booked service you want to cancel.

FAQ for Professionals

What types of services can I offer? (Service Types that can be offered.)

Yougoz.com allows you to create only two types of Service: Simple services and Bookable services.

Simple Services

These are services that may or may not need to be booked, but require the professional to conduct some preliminary assessment/evaluation of what you want to have done. Although some service businesses and professionals provide this initial activity for free, most usually charge a small fee to cover the amount of time required to assess/evaluate the scope of the work that actually needs to be done. To this extent, we created this type of service to allow prospective customers to book the service professional’s time to receive, and to conduct, their assessment/evaluation.

Examples of service businesses that would set up this sort of service are: timepiece repair shops, auto customization shops, computer repair shops.

Bookable Services

This type of service is for those services that are clearly time-bound, and where the service professional will not be able to accommodate other customers while fulfilling the service.

Examples here are: Hair salons with one or more stylists and beauticians available, gyms with multiple installations of the same equipment, Restaurants and bars with a fixed number of tables, Local tour services with a fixed number of slots for scheduled tours.
