An Iced Chai Latte is the perfect way to get some caffeine in warmer months. That heavenly blend of black tea, spices, and herbs is so refreshing and delicious! It’s also pretty expensive to buy from your local coffee shop, Starbucks, or Dunkin’ Donuts. If you drink Iced Chai Lattes daily, then you can save a lot of money by making it by yourself with these three ingredients!

Personally, I recommend a non-dairy milk as a healthy alternative to traditional dairy milk. You should add your milk into your cup first, especially if you plan on using hot tea.
Health Hack: Use soy milk for a protein boost!

Most coffee shops use a chai latte concentrate, which tastes amazing! But if you want to save space or money, you might want to stick with some chai tea bags instead. To assemble the iced chai latte, add in either the chai tea concentrate, or steeped chai tea into your cup. If you’re using a concentrate like Rishi, use only 1/3 concentrate and 2/3 milk. On the other hand, using hot tea means that it won’t be as strong, so use either 1/2 tea and 1/2 milk, or 2/3 tea and 1/3 milk for a stronger taste.
Health Hack: Loose the sugar and stick to chai tea bags instead of chai tea concentrate.

Keep your drink cool with some ice! If you want to bring it to the next level, try pouring some of your chai into iced cube trays so that the next time you make it you can keep your drink cold without diluting it. If you’re not a huge fan of ice, you can always throw your latte in the fridge to make sure that’s cooled down enough for consumption.
Health Hack: Use light ice – it’s much harder on your digestive tract to process colder beverages than warmer ones.
