In case you haven’t heard, this year the Golden Globes went dark. Don’t worry, it’s not as scary as it seems. As a statement in support of victims of sexual misconduct, the vast majority of celebrities attending the award show wore black. Not only did these celebs have us cheering for female power and saying, “time’s up,” but they gave us some of the chicest looks we’ve seen hit the red carpet all at once.

After seeing these incredibly powerful women making a statement, we decided we wanted to get on board too, using our passion for fashion to speak out. In honor of this monumental occasion, we’ve found affordable versions of some of our favorite 2018 Golden Globes looks.

  1. Zoë Kravitz

Simple makes a statement. We love Zoë Kravtiz’s appropriately simple black dress, accompanied by statement earrings to give it a pop. We found this strappy version from Lulu’s for just $68. Did we mention it’s velvet?!

2. Giuliana Rancic

There will never be a time when we don’t love black and sequins together. It’s always a given that the queen of the red carpet will look amazing, so we had to pull some inspiration from the Hollywood glamor girl herself. Boston designer, Daniela Corte, gives us a strapless version of this form fitting beauty.

3. Elizabeth Moss

So simple and so elegant. The best part about this look is that you can copy it for more than just a black-tie event. A little black dress with sleeves can be worn at a cocktail party, night out, or even dressed down for work. This high-low version is from Massachusetts-based Devinto, and rings in at just under $300. Pair with some pointy heels and a sparkly statement necklace to complete the look.

4. Zuri Hall

We’re feeling empowered, so now is the perfect time to show a little skin.  Zuri Hall’s dress mixes textures and patterns, creating something sexy and fearless. Our affordable find is from a Boston designer you may have seen on Project Runway, so you know it’s good. We’re begging you to pair it with a metallic eyeshadow like Zuri.

5. Connie Britton

Connie Britton decided to make a statement that was more than fashion, and we’re just fine with that. The cool contrast of a graphic tee and full skirt is an approachable look that can be easily recreated. This black pleated maxi is just $53 from Chicwish.
